​Preliminary Round:
– Program duration: max. 10 minutes
– Required piece:
• Carl Maria von Weber: Concertino in E-flat major, Op. 26

Final Round:
– Required piece:
• W.A. Mozart: Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622
Movement I: Allegro

​

Senior Category (17 years and above)

Preliminary Round:
– Two pieces from different musical periods, max. 13 minutes.
– 1.Required piece (choose one):
• Charles-Marie Widor: Introduction et Rondo, Op. 72
or
• Ernest Chausson: Andante et Allegro

Final Round:
– Required piece:
• W.A. Mozart: Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622
Movement I: Allegro

Competition Format​

✔ The competition consists of a Preliminary Round and a Final Round.
✔ Preliminary Round: Performed live with piano accompaniment at Andermatt Concert Hall.
✔ Final Round: Mozart Theme – All finalists will perform a Mozart Violin Concerto with an orchestra at Vitznau Kammermusiksaal.
